Music for Cuba
As part of the exchange program initiated by Gil-Ordóñez in 2017, this will be his fourth visit to conduct the Orchestra of the Lyceum Mozartiano de La Habana.
The Festival Mozart Habana, coinciding with the celebration of Spain’s National Day, ends the festival at Havana’s Cathedral with a program including works by Federico Mompou in the orchestration by Benet Casablancas, and the Symphony by Juan Crisóstomo Arriaga, known as the “Spanish Mozart.” Also in the program Mozart’s Flute Concerto in D major.
